Evaluating Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi for the 2024 LS Election

If Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi come up to you asking for a vote in the 2024 LS election, what would you ask both?

Modi’s Campaign Promises vs. Reality

Modi asking for my vote: Modi ji, why didn’t you do even five of what you advertised?

As we approach the 2024 LS election, it’s important to ask ourselves whether the Prime Minister has fulfilled his campaign promises. If he hasn’t, it raises questions about his actual commitment to the issues he claims to address. Perhaps it’s time to demand answers and see where he stands.

Rahul’s UPA Tenure and Promise Fulfillment

Rahul asking for my vote: Rahul ji, why didn’t you advertise even five of what UPA did during those ten years?

Similarly, if Rahul Gandhi is seeking your vote, it’s crucial to inquire about the actions taken during the UPA government. Did they implement the policies they promised to benefit the people? Or were the promises left unfulfilled?

Measure of Progress: A Distributive Approach

There’s no chance of them meeting with me. I am not a politician or an eminent person, and my vote wouldn’t determine their victory. Instead, let’s measure progress through tangible achievements rather than empty rhetoric.

Statistics and concrete examples can give a clearer picture of their performances. We should demand data-driven answers and ensure that the government’s measures are honest and transparent.

Divisive Tactics and Good Governance

Please stop dividing us on communal lines. Good citizens exist in every caste, religion, and they are equally present, as do the bad ones. Don’t try to divert our attention from essential issues of governance, public safety, clean water/air, free education, and health care to trivial matters like temples/mosques, reservations, Hindi/Non-Hindi languages, and so on. We are all citizens of India.

The key to better governance is ensuring accountability and transparency, rather than playing communal cards to maintain power.

Corruption and False Promises

Corruption is still rampant. You haven’t done anything meaningful to curb it. This lack of action speaks volumes about their intentions and capabilities.

We have not elected them to teach us what we should do. We are tired of so-called ‘fake babas’ passing off as politicians who claim to know mysterious scientific facts that are often false.

Moreover, no promises were fulfilled, particularly regarding farmers’ issues, unemployment, excessive income tax and tolls. Cars are not luxury items—why impose 28% GST on them?

Future Governance and Private Interests

I guess both of these people will run away from India after handing it over to corporates and won’t remain in India until 2024.

Railways, rivers, BSNL, and a few other government assets are still pending privatization. I hope Modi will finish it off before 2020 and then move to his partners in the UK. Rahul can be found in Italy by that time.

As voters, it’s our responsibility to question and demand accountability from our leaders. Ensuring a fair and just government is crucial for our future. Let us engage in constructive dialogue and make informed decisions based on evidence and principles of good governance.
