Several times, I would wake up struggling to breathe, thrashing around and gasping for air. In fact, my nightmares often mirrored these suffocating episodes. I would see myself drowning, being choked, or at the brink of death in various dream scenarios. These dreams were based on the same vivid sensations that kept me awake at night.

Is Sleep Apnea to Blame?

Upon investigation, I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea— a condition that occurs during sleep when the tongue relaxes and blocks the airway. The body essentially stops the natural air flow, leading to suffocation! It's a serious issue that can lead to various complications.
