Exploring the E-Cigarette Market and Flavor Landscape
Introduction
The e-cigarette market has seen a vast array of options and brands emerge, catering to various preferences and requirements. As of my last update in August 2023, several popular e-cigarette brands have been widely sold in stores, offering a range of flavors and styles.

Besides individual brands, the e-cigarette market includes a wide array of flavor categories:
Fruits: Strawberry, Mango, Blueberry, Watermelon Desserts: Vanilla, Chocolate, Custard Menthol/Mint: Classic Menthol, Peppermint Tobacco: Traditional, Smooth, Rich blendsRegulations and Availability
It's important to note that the availability of specific brands and flavors can vary by location due to regulations on flavored tobacco products. Some areas have imposed restrictions or bans on certain flavors, particularly those appealing to younger users. For the most current information, it's best to check local retailers or online shops, as new flavors and brands often emerge in the market.
Vendor Variety: Stores and Options
The availability of e-cigarettes and their flavors is not uniform across all types of retail outlets. As Norbert Zillatron mentions in the comments, the options can differ significantly depending on the store type:
Generic Stores
In generic places such as gas stations, you will often find Blu and similar cigarette-like devices, along with some possible vape pens. My personal opinion on these is fairly low, as the devices are often little more than a novelty. Some vape pens have a decent draw, but they're rarely found at gas stations. The cigarette-like devices have been my first introduction to e-cigs, and they proved to be fairly useless as a cessation aid, providing little in the way of satisfaction and choice.
It's unlikely that I will purchase anything from a gas station in the foreseeable future.
Tobacco Stores
In some tobacco stores, particularly in New York City, you might find a half-assed assortment of intermediate devices, such as more pens, some boxes, and some cobbled-together refilling juice bottles. While these may be good for a quick fix, they are not my preferred choice for anything besides grabbing a bottle of juice in a hurry.
Vape Stores
Vape stores, in addition to some more heavily dedicated tobacco stores, carry a variety of box mods, tanks, coils, and juices. These stores are your best bet if you want to start vaping and try out different juices and talk about devices. In my experience, vape shops may try to push you towards buying their own products, but I've never felt them to be pushy. Many people there are interested or fascinated by vaping and can provide some useful knowledge.
If you are interested in vaping, I suggest checking out some pen devices. While they won’t be great, they will give you a decent idea of how the device works, the parts involved, and help you research and discover your preferred juice types, whether tobacco, fruity, malt, or dessert flavors.
