Fortunately, or rather by the grace of God, I don't need coffee to start my day. After waking up, I first pray. I used to have tea, but it all stopped this past summer due to the extreme heat. I used to maintain a regular water intake, but it was never measured or tracked. This summer, which was plagued with heatwaves, turned a corner. I made it a mission to drink a liter of water every day. Apparently, water intake should be based on body weight. I am small-built, weighing around 36 kilograms, but by winter, I do have a cup of coffee or perhaps a cup of tea, but not every day—it's now and then. I truly love my water.

A Ritual for Many: Morning Coffee

An early morning cup of coffee is a well-established ritual for many people. But how many do you need to drink to kick-start your day?
