Max Hospital Review: An Unfortunate Journey

When my father was dealing with fatty liver and severe kidney disease, we sought medical help, but the local hospital could not provide adequate treatment. After transferring to Ganga Ram Hospital, we thought that we had found a solution to our father's health issues. However, an unexpected incident at Ganga Ram Hospital changed everything.

Unfortunate Incident at Ganga Ram Hospital

On July 1, my father, who had shown significant improvement, was moved to a ward. Unfortunately, around 5:45 am on the same day, he experienced a cardiac arrest. The heart monitor displayed a flat line, indicating that he was dead for approximately ten minutes. After resuscitation efforts by the CPR team, he was shifted to the ICU, where he was declared in a persistent vegetative state (PVS).

Financial Struggles and Transfer to Max Hospital

It is important to note that Ganga Ram Hospital is not under the jurisdiction of the Delhi Government Health Services (DGEHS) and charged an amount of 13 lakhs for 13 days of treatment. Due to financial constraints, we were forced to take our father out of the hospital. We were then admitted to Max Hospital, which is under the panel of the insurance scheme.

Initially, Max Hospital was reluctant to admit my father. However, under pressure from friends, colleagues, and threats of legal action, my father was admitted to Max Shalimar Bagh. Despite this, the experience at Max Hospital has been highly disappointing.

Experience at Max Hospital

Upon admission, Max Hospital did not provide any treatment for several days, merely keeping my father in the ICU. My father had already sustained brain damage as a result of the heart attack. Despite this, Ganga Ram Hospital's MRI results indicated a rare brain damage that could be treated with homeopathy. In contrast, Max Hospital's doctors have been highly dismissive of my father's condition, stating that there is little they can do to improve his condition.

The Max Hospital doctors have been extremely unresponsive and unwilling to conduct their own MRI scan or perform a tracheostomy, which were recommended by the Ganga Ram doctors. The doctors have been harsh and dismissive, refusing to acknowledge any potential for improvement.

My father, who had been living in the hospital for over a month, had not been taken care of properly. He has not had a bath for a month and is experiencing seizures. Despite these circumstances, the doctors at Max Hospital have been uncooperative, refusing to acknowledge the need for specialized care or to provide any meaningful treatment.

The tone and care provided by the Max Hospital staff have been largely unhelpful, and the patient's condition has deteriorated without proper attention and treatment.

Future Plans and Desires

Given the current situation, we are considering discharging my father from Max Hospital and readmitting him at Ganga Ram Hospital. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this post with any new developments.

My experience with Max Hospital has been extremely negative, and we hope to find a more compassionate and effective medical facility for my father's ongoing care.
