It's common to feel overwhelmed by the uncertainties of life, especially as a young adult navigating the challenges ahead. If you're feeling scared about the future and find it hard to take action, this article offers practical steps to help you overcome these feelings and live a fulfilling life.

Assessing Your Strengths and Interests

Take a deep breath and sit down. Everything will be alright. Calm down. God is with you, and He will show you the way. Don't stress yourself this much; it's normal to have these feelings.

First, consider all the jobs you want to get. Think of things that you are good at. It could be making art, creating poems or songs, or being good at fixing things. You can also join the military or start working in a charity. Don't be scared; God is with you every step of the way.

Embracing Spiritual Practices

Consider incorporating spiritual practices to help eliminate fear. Listen to the Durga Suktam by Purnesh Jayaram former Swami Purnachaitanya, available on his YouTube channel. Listen to this Durga Suktam for 40 days without any gaps. This practice has been known to help many find inner peace and calmness.

Sit erect with your eyes closed and just relax. Don't make any effort to listen; let the sounds flow into your ears. Allow the mantras to guide you and provide comfort.

Maintaining a Productive Lifestyle

You might be having a lot of free time, which is why you are busy thinking so much. Get up and do some useful work. Think about how you can make the world a better place and then do whatever little you can towards that. Keep yourself busy in selfless service for at least an hour every day. Here are some other ways to help you overcome overthinking:

Cold water baths: This can help reduce anxiety and promote a refreshing feeling. Jogging: Regular jogging can help in reducing stress and anxiety levels. Listening to loud music: Choose something that lights you up and boosts your mood. Just ensure you don't damage your ears. Safeguarding Your Mental Health

Activate yourself! I used to take xanax for something I no longer take. I was terrified of seizures, but I don't have epilepsy; I have pseudoseizures when I sleep. Avoid eating excess sugar, caffeine, smoking cigarettes, and definitely alcohol, as these can trigger anxiety. Chamomile tea works very well to relax, and it's cheap to buy. Chamomile tea is cheap to buy- 1-2 for a box of 20 tea bags. Drink it before bed and avoid caffeine or smoking after it for the best relaxing effect.

Laughing can also help, as a good comedy movie can lift your spirits. Consider visiting coastal Plains MHMR (if in America). There is a very good psychiatrist there who offers free services along with free mediation. Note down your thoughts to ensure you don't leave anything out.
