Navigating a Troublesome Mind: A Guide to Mental Health and Personal Success

Many times, mental health troubles just happen. Trauma and mistreatment do not always have to be part of a person's history. Similarly, I have asthma. Why it happens to some people; I didn't do anything wrong, and no one harmed me; I just got asthma. The main thing with mental health troubles is to get them treated. This minimizes the disruption they cause in your life.

Too Much Overthinking of Negative Thoughts

One of the biggest challenges with a troublesome mind is overthinking negative thoughts. This can lead to a constant spiral of negativity, impacting various aspects of your life, from relationships to work or personal goals.

Reframing the Question

I would like to respectfully suggest that these are the wrong questions to ask. Instead, ask, 'What is wrong? ' In what way does your mental condition stop you from achieving success in relationships, work, school, or personal goals? Also, ask yourself these questions:

When did the problems start? Where do they happen? Who are the problems involving? How serious are the problems? What helps make the problems less if anything helps?

To paraphrase a Buddhist teaching, knowing how the house caught fire doesn’t help put out the fire. Therefore, understanding and addressing your current mental condition is essential.

Explaining Your Mind: What's the Problem?

Please can you explain what the problem is about your mind? How do you feel? What is it doing? Perhaps it is simply running without direction! Or perhaps you just need a few simple methods to deliberately direct it yourself! Put yourself in the Drivers Seat!!

Clean Out Your Mind Like You Clean Out Your Closet

It may seem like your mind is a problem now because you haven't trained it. The mind is like a muscle, and to guide your thoughts and feelings, you have to learn your emotional triggers as well as your programmed thinking habits and patterns. You can do this by meditating daily and allowing your thoughts to flow by without judging the meaning or reason for them. Over time, you may begin to try and catch your thoughts and ask yourself questions about how you feel about them and if they have a purpose to be in your mind.

Once you do this, you can begin to eliminate thoughts by creating new supportive reasonings. Learning to observe and understand your thoughts will help you better manage your mental health and personal success.

Conclusion

Mental health troubles are real, and they can be overcome with proper treatment and self-reflection. By understanding what is wrong, you can take steps to address your mental condition and improve your overall quality of life. Remember, a troubled mind is only a problem if you let it be. Take control, and start navigating your mind towards success and happiness.
