There is a rumour going around that the singer has come off the ventilator, but Charan firmly states that this is not true. He expressed his hope and faith in the medical team, saying, 'We do wish that the day comes real soon.'

SP Balasubrahmanyam tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to MGM Healthcare. The singer is receiving life support including a ventilator and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). His vital parameters are being closely monitored by a team of expert doctors. ECMO is a technique where the blood is pumped outside the body to a machine that removes carbon dioxide and replaces it with oxygen before it is sent back to the body.
