Shiva, the supreme being in Hinduism, holds a position of supreme power and sovereignty. In the beginning, there was nothing; not even darkness. The universe was a complete zero, nothingness. From this profound nothingness, the primordial sound Omkar or Paranav was created. This sound, representative of the ultimate consciousness, took form as Panchamukhi Sadashiva. This form symbolizes the conscious energy, with Adi Shakti Gayatri representing materialistic energy.

The Creation of Sadashiva and Adi Shakti

Parasadashiva and Adi Shakti then assumed the forms of Mahakal and Mahakali. Together, they created time, space, and the five elements (Panchabhutas). They proceeded to create the first Purusha, Vishnu, who was similar in power and energy to Shiva.

Role of Vishnu, Brahma, and Mahesh

Vishnu was tasked with performing tapas (penance and meditation), leading to the emergence of a cosmic ocean within his body. From this ocean, Vishnu entered a state of yogic sleep, known as Yoga Nidra. Narayan, or Vishnu, then emerged from the navel of this cosmic ocean. From Narayan, Brahma emerged, embodying the creative power of Narayan himself. Brahma, known as the creator, was attributed with the attributes of Parabrahma. Vishnu, being the sustainer, energized the universe through the extension of Brahma's energies in four forms.

The Role of Mahesh and Sada Shiva

Sada Shiva, through his aura, created the form of Mahesh, responsible for the destruction of time, space, desire, and illusion. Mahesh resides at Mount Kailash, assisting Vishnu in maintaining the universe's equilibrium.
