The Importance of Quality of Life: Why We Cannot Live Without It

Why would we not value a high quality of life? It seems to be a reasonable enough concept.

The truth is, if we do not prioritize quality of life, it often leads to detrimental outcomes, particularly in terms of our mental health. This can be seen clearly in urban areas that have experienced significant declines in their quality of life, such as Seattle. Since these places have undergone considerable changes, it has become evident that the left's initiatives have not only destroyed the city but have also deteriorated the quality of life. As a result, we witness a rise in crime and destruction as those who support such policies seem to act irrationally. Despite the efforts to improve society, these individuals have unknowingly made things worse by supporting these political agendas.

Can one truly thrive in a world where the quality of life is poor? While some may manage, most individuals would choose not to endure such conditions. I have personally experienced scenarios where the basics were taken away, and faced life-threatening situations. The only thing that matters is the quality of your life, and this is not dependent on material possessions. I have discarded or lost almost all of my belongings, and the pace of life I have now, observing and appreciating nature, is what truly constitutes a high quality of life.

Quality and quantity are equated to equity. If we do not understand this, we fail to grasp the significance of true quality. Quality is more than just numbers; it is about the essence and the value. A truly good person has quality, not just in numbers but in the way they interact and show their care and support. It is about being present, being kind, and being there for others. This can be demonstrated through simple acts of conversation and empathy.

We do not merely 'need' a good quality of life; we want it. Deep down, we desire safety, security, and a trustworthy environment. We yearn for the absence of diseases and an abundance of food. It would be comforting to know that we have access to clean water and can sleep peacefully without fear of predation or the loss of loved ones. We do not enjoy the suffering that comes from malnutrition, watching our children die from infections, or enduring the harshness of the night. We do not wish to toil long hours in the fields, living in constant worry about our next meal.

Quality of life is fundamental to our well-being and our survival. It affects not only our mental health but also our physical health, our societal interactions, and our overall happiness. By prioritizing quality of life, we ensure that we live in an environment that supports us and that we can contribute to positively.

It is crucial to recognize the value of a good quality of life and strive to create societies that prioritize its importance. By doing so, we can foster a healthier, happier, and more inclusive world for everyone.
