Trump’s Rise and Fall: Why I Stood by Him and Why I’ll Do So Again
Trump’s Rise and Fall: Why I Stood by Him and Why I’ll Do So Again
I voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election, and the reasons still hold true today. Despite the challenges, my support for him remained strong. Here, I will explore why I believe he is a better alternative than his competitors, and why I am committed to backing him again in the 2024 election.
From 2016 to 2020: A Tale of Two Elections
I first cast my vote for Donald Trump in 2016, and it was not a decision I made lightly. His accomplishments and vision deeply impressed me. However, the 2020 election was a contentious and debatable affair. Supporters and detractors alike presented divergent narratives, and the outcome remains a subject of much discussion.
The Divide Between Coastal and Rural America
One cannot understand the political landscape of the United States without examining the geographical and economic divides that exist. The 2020 electoral map clearly illustrates the stark contrast between coastal and rural America, almost as if the two regions are worlds apart.
Consider this: In 2020, the coastal states were predominantly blue, while the southern, western, and central states were predominantly red. This division is not merely a reflection of party affiliation but a deep-seated cultural and economic difference.
America: A History Shaped by Geography and Resources
In the past, America became a superpower because of two key factors: geography and natural resources. The isolation provided by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans protected the U.S. mainland from invasion, allowing it to develop its infrastructure and industries without external interference.
Besides its geographic advantages, America was endowed with an abundance of natural resources. From metals and fossil fuels to timber and arable land, the U.S. was self-sufficient during global conflicts when trade was unstable. Unlike countries such as Germany, Italy, and Japan, America could produce the necessary goods for its own needs.
The Modern Divide: Rural vs. Urban
However, with the advancement of other nations, the landscape has shifted. As countries around the world became more developed, the U.S. faces new challenges. Urban areas, particularly the coastal states like New York and California, now advocate for outsourcing manufacturing jobs to cheaper foreign labor. This shift is problematic because America’s wealth and power were built on the labor of rural Americans.
Moreover, there is a push towards reducing fossil fuel reliance and production, which disproportionately affects rural America. Texas and Oklahoma, for instance, rely heavily on the revenue generated from these resources. The economic stability of these states is threatened, yet there is no plan from the liberal leadership to support alternative livelihoods.
Why Donald Trump Represents Change and Protection
This is where Donald Trump emerges as a compelling figure. He promised to protect the manufacturing jobs in rural America and to safeguard the fossil fuel and natural resources sectors. His presidency, especially the first term, saw the implementation of policies to fulfill these pledges.
I was elated when he won in 2016, and I was devastated by the election results in 2020. I cannot accept the narrative that suggests the election was stolen. Despite the controversies, I have no intention of giving up on the man who wants to uphold the interests of America’s red states. I will continue to support Trump in the hopes of a fairer and more just outcome in 2024.
Yes, the media often portrays him as biased and unfairly targeted. However, the historical evidence supports my decision. Looking at the media trends before the 2020 election, it was clear that Trump faced significant opposition. The overwhelmingly negative coverage did not reflect the true sentiments of the American people.
A Call to Action: Why I’ll Vote for Trump Again
If you share my belief that rural America deserves better representation and protection, I urge you to join me in supporting Trump. His platform resonates with the values and needs of the red states. We need leaders who are willing to fight for the interests of all Americans, not just the coastal elites.
Will you stand with me in 2024? Will you support the candidate who has shown a commitment to protecting American jobs and natural resources? Your vote can make a difference.
