I recently lost 100 pounds, a significant portion of which is yet to be achieved, and I have observed some loose skin. Experiencing this side effect is not uncommon. Losing a substantial amount of weight, especially when done rapidly, can lead to loose skin. The skin's natural elasticity decreases over time, and rapid or excessive weight loss can exacerbate this issue.

However, it's important to note that this is not an unusual occurrence. In my case, while I have some loose skin, it's not as significant as if I had lost even more weight. Additionally, I'm still in the process of weight loss and have about 39–60 pounds left to go. This will give me time to address the issue if necessary.

Incorporate strength training exercises into your routine. Building muscle can help fill out the loose skin and improve its appearance.

Stay Hydrated

Drinking plenty of water is crucial for skin health. Hydration can improve skin elasticity, making it more supple and less prone to loosening.

Healthy Diet

Eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly those that support skin health such as vitamins C and E, zinc, and protein.

Moisturize

Keeping the skin moisturized can improve its elasticity. Use a good quality moisturizer to help maintain skin hydration.

Avoid Smoking

Smoking can contribute to skin aging and decrease elasticity. Quitting smoking can help maintain healthier skin.
