Who Am I?

Everytime someone asks this question, it prompts a deep reflection on the essence of self, the journey of personal growth, and the mosaic of experiences that shape our identity.

For me, the concept of identity is a complex tapestry woven from moments of solitude and connections with others. It is woven from the mundane yet meaningful parts of life, from the quiet moments spent alone to the times when I am among people. Each thread represents a unique experience, a moment of realization, or a small but significant act.

A Solitary yet Connected Soul

My life is a blend of solitude and connection. I cherish the solitude, the time to immerse myself in the music that transports me to other places, or in the pages of a book that opens windows to entirely new worlds. This solitude is not isolation; rather, it is a space where I find myself and reconnect with others indirectly as I walk the streets and see the smiles and kindness of strangers.

The rhythm of my daily life is a grounding force. From the comfort of a warm mug of tea in the morning to the peaceful evening spent relaxing in front of the TV, these simple moments remind me that beauty and wonder can be found in the most ordinary aspects of life. These moments give my day a purpose, a sense of meaningfulness, and a purposeful simplicity.

Being an ordinary person, I am acutely aware of my place in the grand tapestry of existence. I am a vibrant thread, contributing to the collective narrative of the universe in my unique way. I am a dreamer, a thinker, and a believer in the power of imagination to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

My Identity in Society

How do I introduce myself? Ideally, as a gentleman who listens to the world around him and helps where he can. But if I were to make a grand statement, I might declare myself the upcoming President of Pakistan, though I doubt I would receive that reaction. More realistically, I introduce myself as a peaceful soul who is searching for her true identity. I am a simple human trying to make others happy and, through my actions, contribute to society.

Professional and Personal Identity

Professionally, I am someone with a remarkable track record. I have built the most famous building in Bangalore, UBCity, and many more projects. Yet, these accomplishments are only a small part of who I am. I am also a son, expected to fulfill certain roles and responsibilities. I am not as good a brother, but a loving father and an honorable husband. I strive to be a good friend, though sometimes I may fall short.

Now, as I look to the future, my primary goal is to fulfill my duty to society by sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of professionals—civil engineers, managers, and MBA students. It's not about grand achievements; it's about making a small but significant difference. It's about using my stories and lessons to inspire and guide others.
